Anthem is a multi-billion dollar U.S. health insurance provider. It operates as an umbrella brand comprising five regional brands: Anthem Blue Cross, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Empire Blue Cross, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia. Anthem required a new content management system (CMS) to support Inside My Plan (IMP) — their monthly, digital communication channel reaching two million customers across all five brands.

The CMS provides a comprehensive set of tools. Administrators can create full-length articles, customize articles with variable tokens, and assemble articles into monthly editions. Furthermore, administrators can author and apply publishing rules to each edition. Publishing rules govern both if and how a customer views a given article. Finally, edition content and rules are exported from the CMS as a .CSV file and subsequently transferred to technology vendor Salesforce for processing and publication.

Content Management System Administrators
