Mafia Maps is a dark tourism app designed to document mob crime scenes throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
The app details infamous historical events via a collection of story-telling features. Per scene, these include a Google Maps pin, a short-form editorial narrative, an inventory of participants, each defined by their role, contemporary location photography, and cross-links connecting the user to related scenes. The app also supports geo-fencing to look-up documented locations in proximity to the user device.
